Founded in 1971, as a community college, MacEwan has gown step-by-step into a comprehensive pulic university focussed exclusively on undergraduate studies.

The university’s four faculties and schools today offer graduate programes in fine arts and communications; health and community studies; liberal arts and sciences; and business.

MacEwan's commands one of the highest student satisfaction percentages among Canada's universities, scoring 96% in an independent survey.

In the ‘2012 Canadian University Report’ released by The Globe and Mail, students put MacEwan in first place for student satisfaction among it's peers.

In the same report, students placed MacEwan's among the Top 10 universities across Canada for a nurturing and supportive academic environment.

The Centre for the Arts and Communications occupies an entire block in the city's west end. It's an exciting and visually-appealing environment, dedicated to the visual and performing arts.

South Campus houses several programs from both our Faculty of Health and Community Studies and School of Business.

Alberta College Campus

The Alberta College Campus is a landmark in the city of Edmonton.The buildings on the site have been dedicated to education since 1903. The current building was constructed in 1992. It is home to renowned Conservatory of Music, which features lessons and performances throughout the year.
