Product Specialist II (Asset Management / IT Support)

Location: Columbus, Ohio
Eligibility: Must reside within the state of Ohio
Assignment Duration: March 2, 2026 – June 30, 2026
Contract Type: 4-month assignment (renewable after fiscal year end, 6/30)
Work Schedule: On-site, 5 days per week

Position Overview

We are seeking a Product Specialist II (PS2) to support the Department’s Asset Management Team. This role is responsible for the tracking, updating, movement, and lifecycle management of IT desktop and network assets. The ideal candidate is detail-oriented, organized, and comfortable working in a fast-paced, team-based, on-site environment.

Key Responsibilities

• Update and maintain required asset management metadata
• Add newly acquired IT assets into the asset management system
• Reassign assets based on ServiceNow incident tickets
• Coordinate and organize the disposal of outdated computer and network equipment
• Apply asset tags to newly acquired hardware
• Generate reports from the asset management system to support biennium reconciliation
• Provide mobile audio/visual (AV) support
• Unpackage, transport, and move IT equipment as needed
• Maintain a clean, organized, and safe work area
• Follow established quality standards and procedures
• Provide accurate and timely status updates to stakeholders
• Demonstrate strong analytical, customer service, and communication skills
• Collaborate effectively within a team environment
• Complete assigned tasks independently and efficiently

Required Skills & Qualifications

• Experience updating metadata for IT asset management systems
• Hands-on experience with asset reassignment using ServiceNow
• Experience coordinating disposal of IT computer and networking equipment
• Ability to apply and manage asset tags for new equipment
• Experience generating asset management reports for reconciliation purposes
• Mobile AV support experience
• Ability to safely lift, move, and unpackage IT equipment
• Strong written and verbal communication skills
• Proven ability to follow procedures and quality standards

Work Environment & Physical Requirements

• On-site work required, 5 days per week
