Studenttimes Staffing Solutions is currently hiring General Laborers for our clients in Mississauga.
Mixers are responsible to mix various batters, doughs and glazes for our products – as well as stand in to support the Line Operations when required, and record all actions in our food safety management system.
Duties and Responsibilities:
- Food safety/handling skills
- Measure and dump ingredients into hoppers of mixing and grinding machines
- Remove filled containers from conveyors
- Manually pack goods into bags and boxes or other containers
- Feed and unload processing machines
- Check products and packaging for basic quality defects
- Assist process control and machine operators in performing their duties
- Clean machines and immediate work areas
Requirements:
- Previous mixing or baking experience strong asset
- Must be able to lift 40 lbs. consistently
- Ability to understand operational paperwork
- Must be able to follow guidelines and instructions
- Motivated, engaged, and an outstanding team player
- Attention to detail
- Technical abilities to inspect potential issues
- Computer skills
- Physically fit to endure workday on the plant floor, walking & standing.
Own tools/equipment:
- Steel-toed safety boots
