Job Description

Studenttimes Staffing Solutions is a professional recruitment agency that specializes in providing permanent, temporary, and contractual staffing solutions, for both full-time jobs and part-time job. Offices in Mississauga | Brantford | Cambridge – Ontario, Canada.

This position is responsible for inventory control at both our onsite and offsite warehouses. This includes inventory counts and corresponding adjustments, audits, variance investigations and reporting according to the established policies and procedures.

Job responsibilities:

  • Reviews raw material inventory reports on a daily basis
  • Receive all incoming raw materials and other items into the computer system, print pallet labels, forward completed packing slips to purchasing
  • Perform quality checks on inbound material, notify Quality control as necessary
  • Communicate with management to ensure that potentially compromised products are removed and placed in a secured quarantine area for assessment
  • Process inventory adjustments, upon approval: Review and validate all adjustments and document as required
  • Review inventory reconciliation and receiving discrepancies (ex. shortages, overages, and damages). As required, investigate discrepancies and ensure appropriate communication with the Manager
  • Perform physical inventories and cycle counts for raw materials
  • Ensure completed jobs have appropriate consumables assigned and depleted from inventory
  • Perform all tasks within the scope of all applicable Policy and Procedures related to the Inventory Control Clerk role
  • Ensure that personal work areas are kept safe, organized and clean
  • Follow company policies and procedures, including Health and Safety policies
  • Provide backup for duties performed by Inventory Control Clerk – Finished Goods
  • Assist Finished goods activities should it be necessary
  • Plan all inbound materials from our external warehouses, based on press lineups and bag machine schedules
  • Provide raw material counts for adhesives and glues
  • Other duties as assigned by the Manager

Requirements:

  • Excellent analytical, inventory auditing and reconciliation skills.
  • Proven ability to direct and coordinate inventory operations.
  • Experience in a Team Lead/Supervisory capacity and in inventory management
  • Intermediate to Advanced knowledge of MS Suite (Outlook, Excel, Word)
  • Qualification : Bachelors Degree is preferred
  • Knowledge of quality management systems, an asset.
  • Knowledge and experience with 5S and lean manufacturing principles, an asset
  • Excellent customer service skills
  • Ability to excel in a fast paced environment.
  • Knowledge of health and safety requirements, within an industrial establishment.
  • Minimum work hours 40 hours per week with an opportunity to work Overtime
