Job Description
Studenttimes Staffing Solutions is a professional recruitment agency that specializes in providing permanent, temporary, and contractual staffing solutions, for both full-time jobs and part-time job. Offices in Mississauga | Brantford | Cambridge – Ontario, Canada.
The Event Planner is responsible for planning, organizing, and executing a wide range of events, from small meetings to large-scale conferences, to ensure they run smoothly and meet the desired outcomes. They work closely with clients to understand their needs and preferences, develop event concepts, create budgets, coordinate vendors, and ensure all aspects of the event are executed flawlessly.
Responsibilities:
- Meet with clients to understand their event goals, preferences, and budget
- Conduct research and source suitable venues for the event
- Develop event concepts and detailed plans, including timelines, logistics, and budget estimates
- Coordinate and manage all aspects of the event, including catering, decorations, entertainment, transportation, and guest accommodations
- Manage vendor relationships, negotiate contracts, and ensure all vendors deliver their services as agreed
- Oversee event set-up, monitor progress during the event, and handle any unexpected issues that arise
- Maintain accurate records and documentation, including event budgets and contracts
- Evaluate the success of each event and gather feedback from clients to continually improve processes
Requirements:-
- Bachelor’s degree in event planning, hospitality, marketing, or a related field
- Proven experience in event planning and execution, with a track record of successful events
- Excellent organizational and project management skills
- Strong communication, interpersonal, and negotiation skills
- Ability to work independently, as well as part of a team
- Ability to work under pressure and handle multiple tasks simultaneously
- Proficiency in Microsoft Office and event planning software
