Marketing specialists are responsible for tasks such as brainstorming ideas for marketing campaigns, creating brand messages to improve brand awareness, researching and analyzing data, and developing sales presentations

Job Responsibilities:

  • Lead & shape Brand Strategy for all external communications.
  • Lead development of creative briefs in partnership with business units for planned marketing campaigns.
  • Manage the relationship with external agencies. Oversee the creative process and work with external agencies and internal teams to deliver impactful, consistent, and creative marketing campaigns for the  brand as well as sub-brands and programs.
  • Follow and adhere to campaign creative timelines.
  • Maintain industry and organizational knowledge of relevant practices, principles and technologies and media, including the latest trends in design, advertising, and marketing.
  • Continuously review and update all marketing elements, customer insights to ensure relevancy in the market.
  • Continually assess campaign spend and effectiveness and redeploy to maximize effectiveness. Provide suggestions for future programs based on analytics.
  • Lead, plan and communicate marketing campaign calendar with business units to ensure organizational-wide consistent execution of marketing messaging.
  • Own all branding standards for brand and sub-brands.
  • Manage marketing assets including collaterals and digital assets including claimsecure.com, valuehealth.ca and myeprofile.ca.
  • Work with internal teams to provide creative guidance on internal communications.
  • Collaborate with VP, Preferred Network Solutions and internal stakeholders to generate ideas for new services and help build a pipeline of potential preferred partnerships that will expand offerings and align with evolving  brand.
  • Support VP, Preferred Network Solutions to manage preferred partnerships pipeline from initial discovery to launch. This may mean representing brand in meetings and leading presentations with potential preferred partners.

Knowledge, skills and experience:

  • University or College degree in Marketing, Business or related discipline
  • 3+ years of marketing experience
  • Creative thinker & strong communicator
  • Creative background including building marketing briefs
  • Knowledge of website analytics tools
  • Exceptional problem-solving skills
  • Superior organizational skills.
  • Proven project management & planning skills.
  • Self-motivated and build relationships with internal and external customers
  • Strong computer skills, knowledge of Microsoft Office and other relevant applications.
  • Demonstrated understanding of and proficiency with social media
  • Strong decision-making skills
